FLIP’ examines the possibility of turning a conventional bar residential building inside out, questioning how housing can be reorganized through shifts in view, circulation, and domestic experience. Set in Taipei, the project responds to the city’s dual urban condition: the coexistence of large-scale metropolitan density and intimate, small-scale neighborhood life. By flipping the typical residential bar, the building creates new relationships between interior and exterior, public and private, tower and street. Circulation becomes more than access, becoming a spatial experience that moves residents between different scales of Taipei, from compressed alley-like moments to open urban views.
