The proposed apartment project is situated in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles. Our focus aims to explore the characteristics of materials when subjected to identical bending movements. We pair up these bent objects to offer structural support to each other, situating them strategically on-site. These bent pairs also server as a paper weight to anchor down the curvy elevated ground that accommodate commercial spaces and parking below, with the amphitheater and social landscapes on top of it. Furthermore, we’ve leveraged the natural rippling effect of the elevated ground to create boundaries, distinguishing private exterior spaces from public.
